Ever since I adopted Mochi, my sweet little gray tabby, she’s been my whole world. From the way she curls up next to me on the couch to that one specific “mrrp” she makes when she's hungry — everything about her brings me comfort. So when I came across a custom keepsake made using my pet’s actual fur, I knew I had to try it.
Why I Did It
Let’s be honest: our fur babies don’t live as long as we do. 😿 I wasn’t ready to think about that — but I did want something meaningful to capture our bond. So I sent a small bundle of Mochi’s brushed fur to an artist who hand-makes keepsakes. It’s a way of turning shedding (lol) into something truly beautiful.
And oh my gosh, when I received the final piece… I was speechless.
The Final Product
It was soft. It was comforting. It looked and even felt like a little piece of her. The quality? Incredible — the fur is blended perfectly into the piece, and everything is made with so much care. The artist even reached out to ask if I wanted to adjust the design to better match Mochi’s unique personality. 🥹
